I am a very visual oriented person and I forget things often. So, my favorite organizing tip is to use calendars and planners. I use a chunky assignment notebook, a wall calendar as well as the calendar on my phone. They all serve different purposes for me. In my assignment notebook, I write out all of my assignments for class, work and pretty much everything else. I use the Emily Ley planner. But, I don’t always check it like I would hope to. So, I use my wall calendar as a visual reminder for the big things like tests, doctors’ appointments and when I am dog sitting. I use my phone when I am not home and need to add something. Just in case I don’t look at my wall calendar, my phone will buzz to remind me of the task.
I think your tips for staying organizing are very helpful! I myself use a planner like you, mine has the month and then the days of the week and homework I put on the day it is due. On the monthly view I put the exams, and other events that I need to keep in mind. I have never thought of getting a wall calendar but I think that would be a great reminder for important things.
